looks better than it feels : Phosphor Unisex DH04 Digital Hour E-INK Curved Black Ion-Plated Polyurethane Band Watch
This watch is expensive for what is basically a plastic digital watch with a new technology display, and e-ink prices will certainly go down. It appears to be well-made; the case seems VERY sturdy and I like the screw-on battery cover which allows for do-it-yourself battery changes. The band is comfortable and should last forever. The case is bulky, but not to the point where it looks dumb or interferes with my shirtsleeve, and I have a small wrist for a six foot plus guy. It's certainly lighter than your typical clunky dive watch. It may not be waterproof, but I don't swim with a watch on and I doubt many people shower with them on either. Mine's gotten splashed pretty good while washing up and it hasn't been a problem. I think the circle/number face is cool and so is the ability to go from white on black to black on white. No scratches on the crystal yet, but I'm not sure it's going to be as durable as your typical mineral glass crystal. It's not as contrasty as the picture but it's not hard to read, either.
I enjoy wearing the watch and that's the bottom line for me. It's unique and reasonably practical.
